JD745X Multi-Function Water Pump Control Valve

JD745X Multi-Function Water Pump Control Valve is a pilot-operated hydraulic control valve specially designed for water pump outlet protection. Widely applied in municipal water supply, building water supply, fire pump rooms, water treatment plants and industrial circulating water pipeline systems. This integrated valve combines slow opening, staged slow closing and one-way non-return functions, effectively eliminating water hammer surge, preventing fluid backflow and pump reverse rotation, and providing comprehensive protection for water pumps and pipe networks.

The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with excellent pressure resistance and structural stability. Standard pressure grades include PN10 and PN16 with flanged connection. The valve runs completely depending on medium pressure without external power supply. Equipped with pilot control pipelines and adjustable needle valves, technicians can adjust opening and closing speed flexibly on site according to pipeline conditions to achieve optimal anti-water hammer effect.

Working principle: When the water pump starts, the gradually rising pipeline pressure pushes the valve disc to open slowly, avoiding instantaneous water impact and reducing the starting load of the pump motor. When the pump stops and backflow occurs, the pilot system drives the valve to complete two-stage closing. The valve first quickly closes most of the flow passage to limit backflow volume, then slowly finishes the remaining closing stroke. This buffer design avoids fierce collision between valve disc and valve seat, greatly reducing pipeline vibration and pressure shock.

Compared with the traditional scheme of separately installing gate valve and swing check valve, JD745X simplifies pipeline layout, reduces pipeline fittings, saves installation space and lowers overall engineering investment. Complete specifications cover DN50 to DN1200. Applicable media include tap water, fire service water and cooling circulating water, working temperature ranging from 0℃ to 80℃. Horizontal installation at pump outlet is recommended.

Installation and operation precautions: Install strictly following the flow arrow marked on the valve body. A Y-type strainer must be installed upstream to prevent impurities from blocking the small-bore pilot pipeline. Reasonably adjust the needle valve; improper speed setting will weaken the water hammer elimination performance. This valve serves as pump protection equipment and cannot be used as long-term isolation shut-off valve.

All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test, sealing test and opening-closing linkage test before delivery. Each unit is inspected to guarantee sensitive pilot control action and reliable sealing performance. It has become the preferred integrated protection valve for large and medium-sized pump stations.
