DIN Y-Type Strainer is a pipeline filter manufactured in accordance with German DIN standard, widely exported to European markets for municipal water supply, HVAC circulating water, chemical industry, heating systems and general industrial fluid pipelines. It is used to intercept sediment, rust, welding slag and solid particles in fluid, protecting pumps, control valves, instruments and other precision equipment from abrasion and blockage.
The product strictly follows DIN flange standards such as DIN2501, DIN2532 and DIN2533. Common pressure ratings include PN10 and PN16. The valve body is optional with WCB cast carbon steel or ductile iron. Flanged connection meets European pipeline installation requirements and can perfectly match DIN standard pipes and valves. Internal filter cartridge adopts stainless steel perforated plate and woven wire mesh, and filtration mesh size can be customized according to customer working conditions.
The overall structure adopts classic Y-shaped design. Impurities are trapped on the inner surface of the screen during operation. When pollutants accumulate and cause pressure difference to rise, operators can close the front and rear isolation valves, remove the bottom cover, take out the filter screen for manual cleaning, and restore operation after reassembly. The disassembly process is simple and does not require removing the whole filter from the pipeline.
The strainer supports horizontal and vertical installation. It is recommended to arrange the Y branch downward to facilitate impurity deposition. Complete specifications cover DN15 to DN300. It is applicable to clean water, light fuel oil and low-corrosion liquid medium. Different sealing materials can be selected to adapt to different medium temperatures.
Important operation notes: Installation must follow the flow arrow marked on the valve body. Regularly observe the inlet and outlet pressure difference to formulate a reasonable cleaning cycle. Long-term operation under excessive pressure difference should be avoided to prevent deformation and damage of the stainless steel screen. After each cleaning, check whether the sealing gasket is intact to prevent external leakage. This model belongs to offline manual cleaning strainer and does not support automatic online backwashing.
All finished DIN standard strainers pass strict shell hydrostatic pressure test and sealing inspection before delivery. The flange size, structure length and machining dimension are implemented in accordance with DIN specifications, ensuring interchangeability with European standard pipeline accessories. Compared with GB standard filters, DIN Y-type strainer has different flange bolt distribution, sealing surface size and overall dimension, which is specially developed for European engineering projects.
