ZPG-L Angle Type Automatic Backwash Filter is a pipeline online purification equipment specially designed for right-angle pipeline layout. Widely used in central air conditioning circulating water, municipal water supply, water treatment plants, power plant cooling water, industrial circulating fluid and fire protection systems. It intercepts sediment, rust, welding slag and suspended impurities in fluid to protect heat exchangers, pumps, flow meters and other downstream precision equipment from abrasion and blockage.
The main body is generally made of carbon steel or ductile iron, with flange connection for stable sealing and convenient installation. Internal components include shell, stainless steel filter cartridge, diversion butterfly valve and blowdown outlet. ZPG-L adopts angle flow channel structure, perfectly matching 90° elbow pipelines, which greatly optimizes space layout of pump rooms and pipe trenches. Stainless steel filter screen can be customized with different precision according to working conditions.
Working principle: Under normal filtration state, the diversion butterfly plate keeps open. Fluid flows into the filter, particulate impurities are trapped inside the filter cartridge. As dirt accumulates, pressure difference between inlet and outlet gradually rises. When the differential pressure reaches preset value or the timing cycle expires, the system starts backwashing automatically. The diversion butterfly valve closes, the blowdown valve opens, and reverse flow washes the filter screen from outside to inside to flush off accumulated contaminants. After blowdown completes, each component resets automatically to resume normal filtration. The whole cleaning process realizes continuous water supply without pipeline shutdown.
Main technical highlights: It does not require bypass pipelines, reducing overall engineering investment. Optimized streamlined channel brings low pressure loss and less energy consumption. It supports two control modes: differential pressure triggering and timing control, and can be equipped with manual or electric actuators. Flexible installation can be horizontal or vertical according to field layout. Complete specifications cover DN40 to DN1000, applicable for clean industrial water, circulating water and other low-corrosion liquid medium. The operating temperature ranges from 0℃ to 90℃ under standard configuration.
Operation notes: Install strictly following the flow arrow marked on the valve body. Regularly check differential pressure data to judge screen pollution status. Avoid long-term operation under excessive pressure difference to prevent screen damage. If medium contains a large amount of fiber or viscous dirt, shorten the backwashing cycle. This filter cannot replace shut-off valves for pipeline isolation.
All finished filters pass strict shell hydrostatic test and backwash function test before delivery. Each unit is inspected to ensure sensitive action of diversion butterfly valve, smooth blowdown and stable filtering performance. Compared with conventional Y-type strainers that need disassembly for cleaning, ZPG-L angle backwash filter lowers maintenance labor and reduces system downtime losses.
With angle compact layout, automatic online backwashing, uninterrupted water supply and wide caliber coverage, ZPG-L Angle Type Automatic Backwash Filter gains high recognition among global engineering contractors. Our factory can customize screen precision, body materials, flange standards and electric control boxes to satisfy diversified municipal and industrial project procurement demands.
