ANSI Gate Valve,also widely known as API standard gate valve,is designed,manufactured and inspected strictly in accordance with ASME and API industrial specifications for global industrial piping systems.The core applicable standards cover API 600,ASME B16.34,ASME B16.10 for face-to-face dimensions,ASME B16.5 flange standards,and API 598 for pressure testing.This series of gate valves serves as reliable on-off equipment to fully open or shut off fluid flow and is widely accepted in international EPC engineering,oil&gas,petrochemical,power generation,metallurgy and long-distance pipeline projects.
As a typical linear motion shut-off valve,its core closing member is a wedge gate disc that moves vertically up and down perpendicular to fluid direction.When fully opened,the gate retracts completely out of the flow passage to form a full bore channel,delivering minimum flow resistance and pressure loss for pipeline transportation.The valve is bidirectional and can bear medium flow from either side without installation direction limitation.Engineers usually recommend this valve for infrequent operation scenarios,rather than throttling service.Partial opening will lead to medium erosion and vibration of sealing surfaces,shortening service life significantly.
We supply multiple structural configurations including outside screw and yoke(OS&Y rising stem type)and non-rising stem(NRS)type.The OS&Y design visually displays valve opening status,ideal for fire protection and process pipelines requiring clear position indication.Wedge structures contain single rigid wedge,flexible wedge and double wedge options to adapt to temperature deformation and guarantee stable sealing performance under fluctuating working conditions.
A complete material portfolio satisfies diversified working media.The valve body can be cast with WCB carbon steel,CF8/CF8M stainless steel,alloy steel and other ASTM standard materials.Internal trim materials such as 13Cr,Stellite hard alloy overlay are optional for high temperature,high pressure and abrasive medium.Sealing forms mainly adopt metal-to-metal hard sealing,which can endure working temperature ranging from-29°C up to 550°C.End connections cover flanged RF,butt weld and threaded ends to match different piping schemes.Pressure classes range from Class 150 to Class 2500,covering most conventional industrial working conditions.Nominal sizes span NPS 1/2”to NPS 48”.
All finished valves undergo strict shell hydrostatic test and seat tightness test following API 598 before delivery.Blowout-proof stem structure effectively prevents medium leakage caused by accidental stem failure.Multiple driving modes are available:manual handwheel,bevel gear operator,electric actuator and pneumatic actuator to meet automatic control demands in modern factories.
