DIN standard gate valve is manufactured in compliance with German industrial DIN specifications,widely supplied to European,Central Asia and Middle East pipeline engineering projects.Different valves follow corresponding standards including DIN 3352 for ductile iron water supply gate valves and DIN 3230,DIN 3356 for cast steel industrial gate valves.With unified flange sizes,face-to-face dimensions and strict inspection criteria,DIN gate valves feature high interchangeability and can directly match existing European pipeline networks.It serves as critical on-off equipment to fully open or cut off fluid flow and is not recommended for flow throttling service.
The core closing element is wedge disc,classified into metal seated and resilient seated structures to adapt to different working media and temperature ranges.Metal seated DIN wedge gate valve adopts metal-to-metal hard sealing,applicable for high temperature,high pressure steam,oil and gas,chemical medium.Resilient seated type uses EPDM coated wedge,realizing bidirectional bubble-tight sealing,mainly used in municipal tap water,drainage and irrigation pipelines.
Two mainstream stem configurations are available:outside screw&yoke rising stem(OS&Y)and non-rising stem(NRS).The OS&Y rising stem visually displays opening position,easy for field inspection,favored by fire protection and process pipeline systems.Non-rising stem type saves vertical installation space,perfectly suitable for valve pits and underground buried layout.
A complete material portfolio meets diversified working conditions.Ductile iron QT450-10 version is commonly used in water supply projects,with fusion bonded epoxy coating internally and externally for anti-corrosion.Cast steel WCB,WC6,stainless steel CF8/CF8M options are available for industrial corrosive,high-temperature media.Valve stem adopts stainless steel,fitted with multi-layer graphite or PTFE packing to prevent external leakage.Blowout-proof stem design improves safety under fluctuating pipeline pressure.
Nominal pressure covers PN10,PN16,PN25,PN40;nominal diameter ranges from DN40 up to DN1200.Connection ends adopt DIN standard flanges.Multiple driving modes can be selected:manual handwheel,bevel gear,electric actuator and pneumatic device to realize automatic remote control for large industrial systems.
Every DIN standard gate valve undergoes shell hydrostatic test and seat tightness test according to ISO 5208 before shipment.Partial opening operation will cause medium scouring,vibration and damage on sealing surfaces,which significantly shorten service life.Users must operate the valve under fully open or fully closed status.
