DIN F5 resilient seated gate valve is manufactured strictly in accordance with German standard DIN 3352,belonging to long pattern resilient wedge gate valve widely popular in European municipal water supply network.Compared with F4 short pattern gate valve,F5 version adopts longer face-to-face dimension,featuring stronger structural rigidity and better adaptability for long-term buried installation,which makes it the preferred shut-off valve for new water supply projects and pipeline renovation across Europe.
The valve body and bonnet are cast from high-quality ductile iron QT450-10 with excellent tensile strength and impact resistance.Internal and external surfaces are coated with food-grade fusion bonded epoxy powder coating.The anti-corrosion coating meets drinking water contact requirements,effectively resisting erosion caused by groundwater,soil acid and alkali substances,greatly extending service life under underground working conditions.Flat-bottom full bore inner cavity prevents sediment and sludge accumulation,reduces flow resistance and guarantees smooth fluid transportation.
The sealing unit consists of an integrally vulcanized EPDM rubber wedge.The fully encapsulated elastic wedge realizes bidirectional bubble-tight zero leakage.Relying on rubber elastic deformation,the sealing surface can automatically compensate slight abrasion,assembly tolerance and pipeline micro displacement generated during long-time operation.Even if a small amount of fine sediment exists in the medium,stable sealing performance can still be maintained,showing obvious advantages over traditional metal seated gate valves.
Two stem configurations are optional:non-rising stem(NRS)and rising stem(OS&Y).Non-rising stem design occupies less vertical space,suitable for valve chambers and direct buried pipelines.Rising stem structure can directly display opening status,convenient for daily inspection and management.The stem adopts stainless steel rolled thread with multi-layer packing sealing system to prevent medium leakage along the stem.Built-in blowout-proof stem structure improves safety under pipeline pressure fluctuation.
Standard pressure ratings cover PN10 and PN16.Flange dimensions comply with DIN 2501 standard.Nominal diameter ranges from DN40 up to DN1200 to satisfy various pipeline caliber requirements.Multiple operation modes are available,including manual square head,handwheel and bevel gear transmission.It can also be equipped with electric actuators to realize remote automatic control.Customized extension spindles can be supplied for deeply buried pipelines to achieve ground operation without excavation.
All DIN F5 gate valves must pass shell hydrostatic test and seat tightness test following ISO 5208 before delivery.This resilient seated gate valve is only allowed to run under fully open or fully closed status.Throttling usage is forbidden.Long-term partial opening will cause high-speed medium scouring and irreversible damage to the EPDM wedge.
