The Extended Spindle Buried Soft Seal Gate Valve is a specially optimized underground shut-off device designed for manhole-free buried water pipeline systems. Developed based on a classic non-rising stem resilient seated gate valve structure, this valve is equipped with a customized extended operating spindle, allowing full opening and closing control directly from the ground surface without excavating valve pits or installing traditional manhole covers. It is widely used in municipal water supply networks, urban road buried pipelines, residential district water distribution systems, park irrigation projects and rural water reform engineering, becoming an essential product for modern invisible pipeline construction and low-maintenance water network management.
This buried gate valve adopts a high-strength ductile iron body with excellent pressure resistance, toughness and deformation resistance. Both internal and external surfaces are treated with food-grade fusion-bonded epoxy powder coating. The smooth coating layer is non-toxic, environmentally friendly and compliant with drinking water transportation standards, while providing strong protection against soil corrosion, groundwater immersion and acid-base erosion in long-term underground working environments. The valve features a full-bore flat-bottom cavity design that effectively prevents sludge accumulation and sediment deposition, ensuring minimal flow resistance, stable water flow and low pipeline pressure loss during full-open operation.
The core sealing component is an integrally vulcanized EPDM rubber resilient wedge. The fully encapsulated rubber structure achieves bidirectional zero-leakage sealing under rated pressure. With excellent elastic recovery performance, the rubber wedge can automatically compensate minor sealing surface wear, assembly tolerance and pipeline micro-deformation caused by long-term operation. Even when the water medium contains fine sediment, the soft seal structure can still maintain tight closure without leakage, showing far better sealing stability than traditional metal-seated gate valves.
The valve adopts a non-rising stem structure. The stem only rotates during operation without upward extension, saving underground installation space and avoiding structural damage caused by soil extrusion and external pressure. The most prominent feature of this model is the detachable and customizable extended spindle. According to different road burial depths, the spindle length can be precisely tailored to ensure that the valve operating head is flush with the ground or pavement. Multiple waterproof sealing rings are installed at the spindle connection part to effectively prevent rainwater, mud and underground moisture from penetrating into the valve interior, ensuring stable long-term operation of internal transmission components.
The top square drive structure enables convenient manual operation on the ground. Operators can complete valve switching without digging, greatly improving maintenance efficiency and reducing construction and maintenance costs. Optional anti-theft locking caps are available to prevent unauthorized operation, which is particularly suitable for public municipal water pipeline management. The valve supports multiple driving methods including manual operation, bevel gear transmission and electric actuator upgrade to meet intelligent and automatic pipeline control requirements.
Standard pressure grades cover PN10 and PN16, with complete diameter specifications from DN40 to DN600. The flange design complies with GB, DIN and ISO standards, ensuring high compatibility with global mainstream water supply pipelines. All products undergo strict shell strength testing and seat tightness testing in accordance with international pipeline valve standards before delivery. Every valve is inspected for zero leakage, stable operation and reliable pressure resistance to guarantee long service life in harsh underground environments.
Compared with conventional buried gate valves, the extended spindle soft seal gate valve eliminates the need for manhole construction, reduces road safety hazards, lowers project investment and minimizes later maintenance workload. Its advantages of compact structure, convenient ground operation, excellent anti-corrosion performance and permanent zero-leakage sealing make it an ideal choice for modern municipal buried water pipe networks. It has been widely recognized by engineering contractors, water supply companies and pipeline system integrators worldwide.
