Grooved Non-Rising Stem Resilient Seated Gate Valve is a special resilient seated gate valve optimized for grooved fire protection and water supply pipeline systems. Adopting grooved end connection and mature non-rising stem structure, the valve features quick installation, compact layout and reliable bidirectional sealing. It is widely used in fire sprinkler pipelines, fire hydrant systems, municipal water supply, building circulating water and underground pipe gallery projects.
The valve body and bonnet are cast from high-strength ductile iron QT450-10 with excellent pressure resistance and impact toughness. Internal and external surfaces are treated with food-grade fusion bonded epoxy powder coating. The coating meets drinking water transmission standards and provides effective anti-corrosion performance against moisture and soil erosion. The inner cavity adopts flat-bottom full-bore design, which avoids sludge accumulation, reduces flow resistance and ensures smooth fluid circulation when fully open.
The sealing unit is an integrally vulcanized EPDM rubber wedge. The fully encapsulated elastic wedge achieves bubble-tight zero leakage under rated pressure. By utilizing elastic deformation of EPDM material, the sealing surface can automatically compensate minor abrasion, assembly tolerance and slight pipeline displacement during long-term operation. Stable sealing effect can still be maintained even if tiny sediment exists in the medium, showing obvious advantages over traditional metal-seated valves.
The valve adopts non-rising stem design. During opening and closing, the stem only rotates without outward linear movement. This structure saves vertical installation space, which makes it highly suitable for narrow valve pits, underground installation and limited pipeline layout. The stainless steel valve stem is equipped with multi-layer packing sealing system to prevent medium leakage. Built-in blowout-proof stem structure improves operation safety under pipeline pressure fluctuation.
The most prominent feature is grooved end connection. Cooperated with pipe couplings, the valve can be rapidly installed without welding or complicated flange bolt arrangement. Construction efficiency is greatly improved, and disassembly and maintenance become more convenient in later pipeline reconstruction. Standard nominal pressure covers PN10 and PN16, with complete specifications ranging from DN50 to DN300. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically with no strict requirements on fluid direction.
It should be emphasized that this resilient seated gate valve is only applicable for fully open or fully closed cut-off operation. Throttling service is strictly forbidden. Long-term partial opening will lead to continuous medium scouring and irreversible damage to the rubber wedge. All finished valves pass shell hydrostatic test and seat tightness test according to ISO 5208 before delivery.
Compared with flanged NRS gate valves, grooved type shortens construction cycle and lowers overall engineering cost. Without exposed stem, internal transmission parts are less vulnerable to external collision and corrosion. With convenient grooved assembly, compact non-rising stem structure and durable soft sealing, Grooved Non-Rising Stem Resilient Seated Gate Valve has become a standard selection for grooved fire fighting and water supply pipe networks. Our factory can provide customized extension spindle for buried installation and anti-theft lock cap to meet diversified engineering procurement demands worldwide.
