Grooved Signal Resilient Seated Gate Valve is a special monitoring shut-off valve developed for fire protection grooved pipeline systems. Combined with grooved quick connection, resilient wedge soft sealing and built-in signal feedback mechanism, this valve can not only cut off fluid in pipelines, but also transmit real-time valve position signals to fire control cabinet. It enables remote monitoring of pipeline status and effectively prevents fire hazards caused by accidental closing of valves, widely used in automatic sprinkler systems, fire hydrant pipelines, commercial buildings, underground pipe galleries and various fire engineering projects.
The valve body and bonnet are cast from high-strength ductile iron with excellent pressure resistance and impact toughness. Both internal and external surfaces are coated with food-grade fusion bonded epoxy powder coating. The coating meets the requirements of fire service water and tap water transportation and provides stable anti-corrosion performance in humid environments. Adopting flat-bottom full-bore inner cavity structure, the valve avoids sludge and sediment accumulation, reduces flow resistance and ensures smooth medium circulation under fully open condition.
The core sealing component is an integrally vulcanized EPDM rubber resilient wedge. The fully encapsulated elastic wedge realizes bidirectional bubble-tight zero leakage under rated pressure. Benefiting from excellent elastic recovery performance, the rubber wedge can automatically compensate slight abrasion, assembly clearance and micro pipeline displacement generated during long-term operation. Even if tiny sediment exists in water medium, stable sealing performance can still be maintained.
This product is commonly designed with non-rising stem structure to save vertical installation space, suitable for installation in valve pits. The stainless steel valve stem is equipped with multi-layer packing to prevent medium leakage along the stem. Built-in blowout-proof stem structure greatly improves safety under sudden pipeline pressure fluctuation.
Its greatest highlight is the integrated signal feedback assembly. When the valve is adjusted to fully open or fully closed position, the internal limit switch will be triggered immediately and output electrical signals to the fire alarm control system. Managers can remotely confirm whether the fire pipeline is unobstructed without on-site inspection. Once the valve is accidentally closed, the control room will receive alarm prompts timely. Signal switches support normally open and normally closed contacts to match different fire control circuit schemes.
With grooved end structure, the valve can be quickly connected with pipe couplings. No welding or complicated flange bolt alignment is required during construction. It shortens construction cycle and facilitates disassembly and maintenance for later pipeline renovation. Standard nominal pressure reaches PN16, and complete specifications cover DN50 to DN300. The valve supports horizontal and vertical installation with no strict limitation on fluid flow direction.
It should be emphasized that this resilient seated gate valve is only applicable for fully open or fully closed cut-off operation. Throttling service is strictly prohibited. Long-term partial opening will lead to continuous medium scouring and irreversible damage to the EPDM wedge. All finished valves pass shell hydrostatic test and seat tightness test according to ISO 5208 before delivery. Every set of signal device undergoes repeated switching tests to guarantee sensitive and accurate signal transmission.
With convenient grooved assembly, reliable soft sealing and real-time valve position feedback, Grooved Signal Resilient Seated Gate Valve has become essential equipment for intelligent fire fighting pipe networks. Our factory can provide customized locking caps, special anti-corrosion coatings and signal components to meet diversified procurement demands from global engineering contractors.
