XZ85X-16 Grooved Signal Resilient Seated Gate Valve is a special monitoring shut-off valve designed for grooved fire protection pipeline systems. It combines grooved quick coupling connection, non-rising stem structure, EPDM resilient wedge sealing and built-in signal feedback device. The valve can not only realize pipeline cut-off control, but also feed back fully open and fully closed position signals to fire control cabinet, realizing remote pipeline status monitoring. It is widely applied in automatic sprinkler systems, fire hydrant pipelines, underground pipe galleries, commercial complex fire service networks and intelligent building fire engineering projects.
The valve body and bonnet are cast from high-strength ductile iron with excellent pressure resistance and impact toughness. Internal and external surfaces are treated with food-grade fusion-bonded epoxy powder coating. The coating meets the transmission requirements of fire service water and tap water, and provides stable anti-corrosion performance under long-term humid environment. Adopting flat-bottom full-bore inner cavity design, the valve effectively prevents sediment and sludge accumulation inside, keeps low flow resistance and ensures smooth medium circulation under fully open status.
The sealing core adopts integrally vulcanized EPDM rubber resilient wedge. The fully encapsulated elastic wedge achieves bidirectional bubble-tight zero leakage under PN16 rated pressure. Relying on excellent elastic recovery performance, the rubber wedge can automatically compensate slight sealing surface abrasion, assembly tolerance and micro pipeline displacement formed during long-term operation. Stable sealing effect can still be maintained even when the water medium contains tiny suspended sediment.
This valve adopts mature non-rising stem design. During opening and closing operation, the valve stem only rotates without upward extension, saving vertical installation space and adapting to narrow valve pits and limited ceiling clearance. The stainless steel valve stem is equipped with multi-layer wear-resistant packing to prevent medium outward leakage. Built-in blowout-proof stem structure effectively avoids safety risks caused by instantaneous pipeline pressure surges.
The core advantage is the integrated signal feedback assembly. When the valve rotates to fully open or fully closed position, the built-in limit switch will be triggered immediately and output switching signals to the fire alarm control system. Management staff can remotely judge whether the fire pipeline is unobstructed without on-site patrol. Once the valve is accidentally closed, the control room can receive prompt information in time to eliminate potential fire hazards. Signal components support normally open and normally closed contacts to match different fire control circuit schemes.
Grooved end structure enables fast assembly with pipe couplings. Welding and complicated flange bolt positioning are not required in construction, greatly shortening the construction period and facilitating disassembly, maintenance and later pipeline reconstruction. Standard specifications cover DN50~DN300. The valve supports horizontal and vertical installation with no strict restriction on fluid flow direction.
It must be noted that this resilient seated gate valve is only suitable for fully open or fully closed cut-off operation. Throttling service is strictly prohibited. Long-term partial opening will cause continuous medium scouring and irreversible damage to the EPDM rubber wedge. All finished valves pass shell hydrostatic test and seat tightness test according to ISO 5208 before delivery. Each set of signal mechanism undergoes repeated switching tests to guarantee sensitive and accurate signal transmission.
