D81X Handle Grooved Butterfly Valve

D81X Handle Grooved Butterfly Valve is a lightweight manual shut-off valve widely used in fire protection pipelines, municipal water supply, building plumbing, water treatment and circulating water systems. Featuring grooved connection and direct lever operation, the valve boasts compact structure, quick installation and simple operation. It is a cost-effective pipeline control solution for medium and small diameter piping networks.

The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with good impact resistance and pressure resistance. The integral EPDM rubber liner is mounted inside the valve cavity. When the butterfly disc closes, it closely fits the elastic lining to achieve bidirectional bubble-tight sealing without leakage. EPDM material has excellent anti-aging performance and corrosion resistance to conventional water media, meeting long-term service requirements for tap water and fire service water. Compared with flanged butterfly valves, grooved connection greatly simplifies the installation process. Cooperated with pipe couplings, no welding or complicated bolt alignment is needed, shortening construction time and facilitating disassembly for maintenance and pipeline reconstruction.

This valve adopts direct manual handle operation without worm gear reducer. Operators can rapidly switch the valve between fully open and fully closed positions by shifting the lever. Clear angle scale marks on the body visually display the opening degree. Equipped with positioning locking mechanism, the handle can be fixed at the target position to prevent the butterfly plate from rotating randomly under water flow impact or pipeline vibration. The transmission structure is concise with fewer wearing parts, effectively lowering failure rate and daily maintenance costs.

The valve stem is made of stainless steel, matched with multi-layer sealing packing to prevent medium leakage along the stem. Built-in anti-blowout stem structure enhances safety under sudden pipeline pressure fluctuations. Standard nominal pressure is PN16, and nominal diameter ranges from DN50 to DN200. The valve supports horizontal and vertical installation, and there is no strict requirement for fluid flow direction.

It needs to be clarified that D81X handle grooved butterfly valve is mainly designed for pipeline full open or full closed cut-off. Long-term throttling service is not recommended. If the valve stays partially open for a long time, high-speed fluid will continuously scour the rubber liner, accelerate abrasion and shorten the service life of sealing components.

All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test and sealing tightness test according to international standards before delivery. Every product is inspected to ensure flexible operation and stable sealing performance. Without additional signal feedback components, this model is suitable for conventional pipeline sections that do not require remote valve status monitoring.
