D381X Worm Gear Grooved Butterfly Valve is a widely adopted pipeline shut-off control valve, commonly used in fire protection piping, municipal water supply, building water circulation, water treatment and cooling circulation systems. Equipped with grooved connection structure and worm gear transmission device, the valve realizes labor-saving operation, featuring compact layout, quick installation and stable sealing performance. It is the preferred medium-large caliber control valve for grooved pipeline network systems.
The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with excellent toughness, impact resistance and pressure bearing capacity. An integrated EPDM rubber liner is installed inside the valve cavity. When the butterfly disc closes, it closely fits the elastic lining to form bidirectional bubble-tight zero leakage sealing. EPDM material possesses outstanding anti-aging property and water corrosion resistance, which can meet long-term service requirements of tap water, fire service water and conventional circulating water. Compared with flanged butterfly valves, grooved end can be rapidly connected with pipe couplings. No welding and complicated bolt positioning work is required during construction, greatly shortening the construction cycle and convenient for later pipeline maintenance, replacement and reconstruction.
The valve adopts worm gear drive mechanism. Compared with direct handle operation, the reducer greatly reduces operating torque. Operators can easily complete opening and closing operation for large-diameter valves by rotating handwheel. The worm gear structure has self-locking function. After adjusting to the target opening position, the butterfly plate will not shift randomly under medium impact or pipeline vibration, effectively maintaining stable valve opening. Clear scale marks on the worm gear box can intuitively display the opening angle for convenient on-site management.
The valve stem is manufactured from stainless steel and equipped with multi-layer sealing packing to prevent medium leakage along the stem. Built-in anti-blowout stem structure effectively avoids safety hazards caused by instantaneous pressure surges in pipelines. Standard nominal pressure is PN16, and nominal diameter ranges DN50 to DN300. The valve supports horizontal and vertical installation, with no strict restrictions on fluid flow direction.
It should be noted that D381X worm gear grooved butterfly valve is mainly used for pipeline shut-off. Long-term throttling working condition is not recommended. If the valve remains partially open for a long time, high-speed fluid will continuously scour the rubber liner, accelerate wear and shorten the service life of sealing components. This model does not contain signal feedback assembly, suitable for pipeline sections without remote status monitoring requirements.
All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test and sealing tightness test according to international standards before delivery. Each valve is inspected to guarantee flexible transmission and reliable sealing. Without extra signal switch, D381X is more cost-effective in conventional water pipeline projects.
With fast grooved assembly, labor-saving worm gear operation, compact structure and durable elastic sealing, D381X Worm Gear Grooved Butterfly Valve gains wide recognition from engineering contractors. It is extensively applied in fire protection main pipelines, industrial circulating water systems, community water supply and landscape irrigation projects. Our factory can provide customized lining materials and special anti-corrosion coating to satisfy diversified procurement demands of global customers.
