
The driving mode is a key factor when choosing grooved butterfly valves.You need to select handle,worm gear or electric actuator according to pipeline diameter,operation frequency,working environment,control demand and maintenance cost.
Handle-operated grooved butterfly valves have simple structure,low cost and direct manual operation.They are suitable for small and medium pipe diameters with infrequent opening and closing.They are commonly applied in building water supply,small fire protection pipelines and conventional circulating water systems.However,they require large operating force and are not suitable for large-size pipelines.
Worm gear grooved butterfly valves adopt worm drive structure,which greatly reduces operation torque and makes opening and closing more labor-saving and stable.They are perfect for medium and large diameter pipelines that need regular manual operation.With good flow adjustment performance and strong applicability,they are widely used in municipal water supply,industrial circulating water and large-scale fire pipe networks without automatic control requirements.
Electric grooved butterfly valves are equipped with electric actuators,supporting remote control,automatic on-off and intelligent flow regulation.They can be connected to automatic control systems,suitable for unattended pipelines,frequent operation working conditions,intelligent HVAC systems and modern industrial pipe networks.Although with higher initial cost,they realize high-efficiency automatic operation and precise control.
To sum up,choose handle type for small diameter and low operation frequency;select worm gear type for large diameter and frequent manual operation;choose electric type for intelligent control,remote operation and automated pipeline systems.
