Ball Check Valve is an automatic lift-type one-way valve, widely applied in municipal water supply, building water supply, sewage systems, water treatment and general industrial fluid pipelines. The spherical sealing element moves up and down with fluid pressure to control pipeline one-way conduction, preventing medium backflow and protecting pumps and downstream pipeline equipment.
The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with good pressure resistance and impact toughness. Most models adopt flanged connection for stable installation and convenient disassembly during maintenance. Inside the valve cavity lies a free-moving ball as the sealing component. When medium flows forward, fluid thrust lifts the ball to open the flow channel; when medium reverses, gravity and backflow pressure push the ball down to closely fit the valve seat and block reverse flow.
Soft sealing structure is commonly adopted. The elastic sealing ring achieves tight shut-off and low leakage. The ball can be made of coated cast iron or stainless steel with good wear resistance. The internal flow channel is streamlined, and the structure contains no hinge or spring parts, reducing risk of jamming caused by sediment. Compared with swing check valve, ball check valve performs better in pipelines containing tiny impurities.
Standard pressure ratings include PN10 and PN16. Common specifications range from DN15 to DN300. This valve is most suitable for vertical pipelines with upward fluid flow. It can also be installed horizontally under certain working conditions. It is applicable to clean water and sewage medium. Special anti-corrosion treatment can be customized for weak corrosive fluid.
Important operation reminders: Ball check valve is only used for one-way flow protection and cannot replace shut-off valves. Installation direction must strictly follow the flow arrow on valve body. Avoid working conditions with violent pressure fluctuation, which will cause frequent bouncing of the ball and accelerate wear of sealing surface. Regular inspection is suggested to clean sediment inside the cavity and check sealing ring integrity.
All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test and sealing tightness test before delivery. Each valve is tested to ensure flexible movement of the ball and reliable sealing effect. Thanks to simple internal structure and fewer vulnerable parts, ball check valve requires low daily maintenance.
With simple construction, anti-blocking performance, stable sealing and low maintenance cost, Ball Check Valve gains wide recognition among engineering contractors. It is extensively used in residential water supply, sewage lifting stations and small circulating water systems. Our factory can provide different flange standards, customized sealing materials and surface anti-corrosion coatings to satisfy diversified procurement demands of global customers.
