Silencing Check Valve, also known as non-slam silent check valve, is an automatic one-way safety valve specially designed for pump outlet pipelines. It is widely used in municipal water supply, building water supply, fire protection systems, HVAC circulating water and water treatment projects. The main function is to prevent medium backflow after water pump shutdown, effectively suppress water hammer impact, reduce pipeline vibration and operation noise, and protect pumps and pipe fittings from impact damage.
The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with excellent pressure resistance and structural rigidity. It mostly adopts flanged connection, stable and easy to disassemble for maintenance. The internal part adopts streamlined piston structure. When the pump starts, fluid pushes the piston to open smoothly; when the pump stops and backflow trend occurs, under the combined action of spring force and reverse water pressure, the piston closes slowly and bufferedly. This design avoids violent collision between valve core and valve seat, realizing low-noise shut-off.
The sealing surface adopts soft seal configuration to achieve tight shut-off and low leakage. Built-in stainless steel spring maintains stable reset performance and long service life. The overall structure is compact with short face-to-face length, saving installation space. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically, bringing great flexibility for pipeline layout.
Standard pressure grades include PN10 and PN16. Complete specifications cover DN50 to DN600. It is mainly suitable for clean media such as tap water, cooling circulating water and fire service water. According to different working temperatures, different sealing materials can be customized.
Important installation instructions: Silencing check valve is an automatic one-way valve and cannot replace gate valve or butterfly valve for pipeline cut-off. The installation direction must strictly follow the flow arrow marked on the valve body. Regular maintenance should check spring fatigue and scaling inside the valve cavity, to ensure the piston moves flexibly without jamming. It is not recommended for medium containing a large amount of sediment to avoid affecting the sealing effect.
All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test and sealing tightness test before delivery. Each product is inspected to guarantee sensitive opening and closing movement and stable sealing. Compared with swing check valve and dual plate butterfly check valve, silencing check valve has obvious advantages in eliminating water hammer noise, greatly extending the service life of supporting pumps and pipelines.
