Rubber Flap Check Valve is an automatic wafer-type one-way valve widely used in municipal water supply, sewage discharge, building water circulation, water treatment plants and fire protection pipelines. It relies on fluid pressure to realize automatic opening and closing, preventing medium backflow and protecting water pumps and pipeline equipment. Thanks to its unique rubber flap sealing structure, it possesses excellent anti-blocking performance and is favored in projects with slightly impure fluid.
The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with outstanding pressure resistance and impact toughness. Adopting wafer connection structure, the valve is clamped between two pipeline flanges by through bolts. The ultra-short structural length saves installation space and reduces overall engineering investment. The sealing component is an integral reinforced rubber flap fixed at the valve inner center. When medium flows forward, fluid pushes the rubber flap to bend and open the passage; when backflow occurs, the reverse pressure presses the rubber flap tightly against the valve body sealing surface to achieve shut-off.
The rubber flap is made of high-strength composite rubber, featuring good elasticity, wear resistance and ageing resistance. No springs or tiny hinge parts inside the cavity, greatly lowering the risk of jamming caused by sediment, fibers and small impurities. The straight-through flow channel brings low flow resistance and reduces pipeline operating energy consumption. Soft sealing achieves tight shut-off with minimal leakage.
Standard pressure grades include PN10 and PN16. Complete specifications cover DN50 to DN1200. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically, with medium flow direction upward for vertical layout. It is applicable to tap water, circulating water, sewage and other media containing trace suspended solids. Customized rubber materials can be provided for special temperature and corrosive working conditions.
Important usage notes: Rubber Flap Check Valve serves only as a one-way protection valve and cannot replace shut-off valves. Installation direction must comply with the flow arrow marked on the valve body. Long-term dry storage should avoid extrusion deformation of rubber flap. Regular inspection is recommended to clean attachments on the rubber flap and check for aging or cracking.
All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test and sealing tightness test before delivery. Each valve is inspected to ensure flexible deformation of rubber flap and stable sealing performance. Compared with dual plate butterfly check valve, rubber flap check valve performs better in anti-clogging, more suitable for sewage and wastewater pipelines.
With compact wafer layout, simple internal structure, anti-blocking capability and reliable soft sealing, Rubber Flap Check Valve has gained wide recognition among global engineering contractors. It is extensively adopted in water supply networks, sewage pumping stations and community circulating water systems. Our factory can offer different flange standards and customized rubber formulations to satisfy diversified procurement demands of international water engineering projects.
