ZLF Self-Operated Flow Balancing Valve is a mechanical automatic constant flow control device widely used in central heating, central air conditioning chilled water, hot water circulation and closed hydronic pipeline systems. Without external power supply, it relies on fluid pressure difference inside pipelines to realize automatic adjustment, effectively solving hydraulic imbalance problems such as uneven flow distribution between branches, eliminating over-flow in near ends and insufficient flow in far ends.
The valve body is cast from high-strength ductile iron with stable pressure resistance and impact resistance, standard pressure rating PN16. Flanged connection is adopted for reliable installation on main and branch pipelines. Internal core components include stainless steel valve stem, bronze valve disc and elastic sensing diaphragm. It is equipped with visible flow scale and locking device. After one-time commissioning before system operation, the valve can automatically maintain the flow at preset value even when pipeline pressure fluctuates.
Working principle: When pressure difference between inlet and outlet rises, the sensing diaphragm pushes the valve disc to reduce flow area; if the differential pressure drops, the spring drives the disc to open wider. Through continuous mechanical closed-loop adjustment, the flow passing through the valve stays constant within the effective differential pressure range. The flow control precision can reach ±5%, ensuring each branch obtains designed water volume independently and will not interfere with each other when other branches start or stop operation.
This valve can be installed horizontally or vertically. Complete specifications cover DN15 ~ DN350. Suitable media include clean water, glycol water solution and other non-corrosive liquids, working temperature ranging from 0℃ to 100℃. It is widely adopted in commercial buildings, residential district heating, shopping mall air conditioning systems and industrial circulating water projects.
Major advantages compared with manual static balancing valve: It features dynamic automatic compensation. Static balancing valve only realizes balance under fixed working condition, while ZLF self-operated balancing valve adapts to variable flow systems, especially for heating metering and variable-frequency air conditioning water systems. It avoids frequent secondary debugging and reduces later maintenance workload.
Operation reminders: Installation direction must strictly follow the flow arrow marked on the valve body. Install filter upstream to prevent sediment blocking internal moving parts. After flow setting, lock the adjustment knob to avoid accidental misoperation. This valve is designed for constant flow control and cannot be used as shut-off valve.
All finished valves pass strict shell hydrostatic test and flow performance test before delivery. Each unit is inspected to guarantee sensitive response and stable constant flow performance. Reasonable use of ZLF self-operated balancing valve can optimize system operation mode, improve indoor temperature uniformity and cut down pump energy consumption significantly.
With power-free operation, accurate constant flow, easy on-site commissioning and reliable long-term performance, ZLF Self-Operated Flow Balancing Valve gains high recognition from HVAC contractors worldwide. Our factory can provide customized flange standards and anti-corrosion coating solutions to satisfy diversified procurement demands of heating and air conditioning engineering projects.
